The Lighthouse Chapel

Shining the light of hope, love, and holiness

Monday Morning Musing

Now that another Sunday is past, its time for this preacher to reflect on what happened at The Lighthouse Chapel on a September Sunday.  That is not difficult to do, for my mind races going over each detail, from preparing the fellowship time in the Hebrews Coffee shop, to enjoying my church family as we enjoyed the coffee and “goodies” on the breakfast bar. Its always with anticipation that we make our way to the beautiful brick chapel where we always enjoy the blessing of the Lord as we sing the good songs of the church, pray together and fix our minds on the Word.   This Sunday was special, as those Sundays when we visit the Lord’s table are always special. The bread, representing the broken body of our Lord, and the juice, representing his shed blood following a message encouraging us to do this in remembrance of Him. Rememebering His LIFE , His WORDS, His SUFFERING, His DEATH, and His PROIMSE of coming again. I trust the time of recollection will help us to fix our eyes on him as we walk life’s pathway.    We are excited about having a children’s worker in Vicki Mewes( May-Vus). Vicki comes highly recommended as one who loves teaching children and loves children. We hope to see the Busy Bee’s Nest a place where the children who come to TLC will find Jesus as Savior at an early age. Thanks Vicki for coming to us.    Our communion was exciting this morning as we had some who were taking communion for the first time. I trust it was a solemn and holy time for them. We are so grateful for those God is bringing to our church.    Well, it won’t be long until we will gather again as a church family and a group of worshippers. Come next Sunday expecting another great day at TLC !
