Entering the sanctuary of TLC this past Sunday was with a prayer that God would bless his people once again. I knew that blessing would come as we sang our praises  to God, and opened our hearts to the ministry of the Word.  This is one preacher who believes in the priority of preaching, and  preaching  is a priority in my life. I love to preach, and with the message I had for today I knew Satan would be in the service doing his best to hinder the message, and as we preached we were very much aware that we were engaged in warfare at the moment. We were dealing with spiritual warfare, attempting to help the saints understand the spiritual warfare we are engaged in.  We must understand who is our enemy, We must understand his strategy and tactics. It is important to understand our vulnerability and then we need to follow the admonition of the great apostle, put on the whole armor of God. I hope we went out determined to be victorious in spiritual warfare.    Won’t you agree? TLC is a wonderful place to be on a beautiful Sunday morning. The tranquil setting of our house of worship. The wonderful people who make up the congregation.  An awareness that we have the promise of God the Father to be with us and be faithful to us. my musing is that this past Sunday was one that offered help and blessing to all who were open to its ministry, Please join us Wednesday evening for another opportunity to draw closer to God and learn more of Him and his ways.,

Monday Morning Musing

Now that another Sunday is past, its time for this preacher to reflect on what happened at The Lighthouse Chapel on a September Sunday.  That is not difficult to do, for my mind races going over each detail, from preparing the fellowship time in the Hebrews Coffee shop, to enjoying my church family as we enjoyed the coffee and “goodies” on the breakfast bar. Its always with anticipation that we make our way to the beautiful brick chapel where we always enjoy the blessing of the Lord as we sing the good songs of the church, pray together and fix our minds on the Word.   This Sunday was special, as those Sundays when we visit the Lord’s table are always special. The bread, representing the broken body of our Lord, and the juice, representing his shed blood following a message encouraging us to do this in remembrance of Him. Rememebering His LIFE , His WORDS, His SUFFERING, His DEATH, and His PROIMSE of coming again. I trust the time of recollection will help us to fix our eyes on him as we walk life’s pathway.    We are excited about having a children’s worker in Vicki Mewes( May-Vus). Vicki comes highly recommended as one who loves teaching children and loves children. We hope to see the Busy Bee’s Nest a place where the children who come to TLC will find Jesus as Savior at an early age. Thanks Vicki for coming to us.    Our communion was exciting this morning as we had some who were taking communion for the first time. I trust it was a solemn and holy time for them. We are so grateful for those God is bringing to our church.    Well, it won’t be long until we will gather again as a church family and a group of worshippers. Come next Sunday expecting another great day at TLC !
